Job description
OpenClassrooms’ mission is to make professional education accessible.
You will join a team of 40 persons organised in squads. Each squad includes Backend and Frontend developers, QA, Product Designers and a Squad lead.
Being in charge of a dedicated squad within the Product team, you will be responsible for the strategy and the development of our product dedicated to employers (BtoB).
As a true leader, you will set the vision of your product in terms of content, services, online and offline experience, and drive the product evolution.
Business-oriented, you will participate to client meetings together with functional teams, in order to analyse the needs and propose the best solutions, while leveraging potential financial benefits.
Your strong analytical skills enable you to evaluate the value and the profitability of each evolution, both at the initial stage and at the end of each development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Within a dedicated squad, your objectives will be the following:
- Analyse market trends and the competitive landscape, users' feedback in order to adapt the product vision and define an innovative strategy.
- Build a roadmap, with the involvement of all the stakeholders, in order to prioritise evolution needs, depending on their impact on the company performance (turnover, margin, profitability, social impact).
- Define and describe the product strategy through a clear documentation that is adapted to diverse audiences within the company.
- Guarantee delivery timelines of the planned evolutions and contribute to the continuous improvement of the business application processes and delivery performance of your squad.
- Define, together with the squad and with the Engineering Managers, the mission and the OKRs to follow and to reach each quarter.
- Regularly communicate with the internal and external stakeholders about the issues, the strategy, and the results of the squad.
- Support sales teams in their pre-sales activities, and spend time as much as possible with clients and users.
- Manage dependencies and temporality of evolutions in relation with other squads and systems.
Job requirements
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
- Strong leadership abilities, negotiation and influence skills
- Ability to conduct quantitative and financial results analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication both in English and French (minimum C1 level)
- Easy communication with the different levels of stakeholders, up to the executive committee
- Demanding, analytical, structured, precise and able to structure complex processes (UML and BPMN)
- Team player, user and business-oriented
DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of experience as a Product Manager, Lead Product Manager or equivalent.
- Experience in supporting sales teams during pre sales activities.
