Introduction

This case study consists of three sections that aim to assess the skills required for the CMO position at [company].

Indicative resolution time per section is provided below:

  • Section 1: 90 minutes
  • Section 2: 180 minutes
  • Section 3: 45 minutes

As a deliverable, you are asked to provide an English-written report, in the format of your choice. The assessment of your deliverable by [COMPANY] will focus as much on substance as on structuring and clarity.

Once the case statement received, you have [7 days] to send your assignment to us.

Context

Marketing levers tested so far

  • List every marketing lever [company] has tested so far.
  • Explain, for each lever, what works, what doesn't work and why according to you.
  • Explain if each of these levers are still in use and those that have been abandoned and why.

Positioning

Explain briefly what you've done in terms of positioning, what you achieved to do and what you failed to achieve.

Section 1

Positioning

Ahead of any marketing action, a clear positioning for [Product with positioning difficulties] offer should be defined. In a sentence, what should be [this product]’s marketing claim according to you ? To whom should it be addressed ? Why ?

Section 2

Levers & roadmap

Which marketing levers would you focus on in priority to achieve the business objectives set by [company]’s investors ? For each lever, which marketing actions would you specifically undertake? Which KPIs would you use to assess the performance of your actions ? What would be your roadmap for 2020 ?
